Early Years

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework (for children aged 0-5) is the guiding document for all early years settings, including bilingual and multilingual contexts. My teaching style has a strong emphasis on creativity and play. I am happy to also advise on recommendations of French/Italian nursery/pre-school education providers in and around London.

What can I offer?

In-person nursery support facilitation across London (flexible ad hoc availability or can book regular slots).
Teaching through play, games, singing and reading story sessions in the target language which seamlessly integrates with their day-to-day routines (face-to-face or online).

What are the benefits of bi-lingual teaching in the early years?

Supporting Home Languages: Under the EYFS, children are encouraged to use and develop their home language alongside English. The home language is valued as a foundation for learning English.
Integrated Language Support: Activities are delivered in both languages when possible, using bilingual staff or language resources.
Cultural Reflection: Celebrating the child’s home culture and language through stories, songs, food, and customs.
